My Secret Life As A Priestess

Reviewed by LuAnne Morgan for RebeccasReads (3/08)

Ronnie Gale Turbane had spent much of her young life looking for answers.  Who she was, why she was on Earth? As she grew into a young woman, she began a career and was successful at her job.  However, she discovered that something was lacking. Maybe she needed to marry and have a family to be happy.

It was not to be, so she began looking in a different direction for the meaning of life. Slowly, she started to accept her circumstances. In fact, she found some semblance of peace in the fact that she had her mother, father and sister near her, along with a rewarding business career.

She was never lacking for dates with young men, yet she never found herself in a long-term relationship.  As she continued to search, she began using the Ouija board regularly, hoping to find answers. They were always ambiguous and she remained unsatisfied.

One day, a young man was hired at the firm she worked for and she took an instant liking to him. They developed a special friendship and he eventually began introducing her to the spiritual world he believed in. Turbane came to realize that was the world she had been searching for all her life.

The more she explored the spiritual world, the more she understood what it meant for her life. Her discovery of the spiritual changed her into the person she always knew she was destined to be. She finally found the happiness she had been searching for.

With that, Turbane launches into an amazing account of her life as a princess. She talks one-on-one with the reader to relate the peacefulness she came to rely on through her journey into a realm few have been privy to.  And she offers the reader that same comfort as she explains how he or she too can learn to accept a way of life that is serene and calm.

Turbane does an excellent job of speaking to the reader. Her openness in relating her story is refreshing and enlightening.  Whether or not the reader chooses to hold the same belief as Turbane, no one can doubt her sincerity. She is open and honest with her feelings and wants only to give the reader the same opportunities she had to find happiness.

“My Secret Life As A Princess” is a book that is easy and fast to read. It moves right along, unlike many memoirs that tend to get bogged down in places.  I’d recommend this book to anyone who has ever been curious about the spiritual life. Thank you, Ronnie Gale Turbane, for writing “My Secret Life As A Priestess.”
