“The Last Plague” begins as a very interesting tale of a young black girl found abandoned on the side of a country road and is brought to the emergency room covered in blood. Upon medical examination, a doctor named Dr. Douglas Hunter, reveals the fact that this young girl’s ovary has been removed and that the other one is as black as coal and hard as a rock. Soon, other young girls are found with the same fate. Dr. Hunter realizes that something wicked is happening. He puts himself and his family and friends in danger, as he explores the cause of what is happening.

Dr. Hunter soon finds himself delving into a world housing many mysteries and deaths. He realizes that he could be facing the last plague, The Apocalypse. We learn about eleven vials. All of them contain a plague that ends in some kind of death. When the last vial is opened, will this be the end?

Dr. Page has opened our eyes to a different world in “The Last Plague” and it is an amazing story. His words were full of wonder and wisdom and very well thought out. His characters were interesting and intriguing. We all know that there is some truth in what he writes, but no one really knows how the end of the world will come about. Dr. Page gives in a really close account of what it would be like if the world was to end.

This is the first book in the series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. The first one does leave you with a sense of wanting more, and kind of leaves you hanging in the end, but it will continue in the next book. I gave it 5 stars because I thought it was a really wonderful account and a look inside of things to possibly come. I would suggest that young adults and adults read this novel. I am not sure that younger children would understand and it could possibly frighten them. I know I will be purchasing the next one.
