The Ovary Wars

Terrorism can be more than an unimaginable explosion or chemical attacks on our water and air…they can be subtle and hidden.  That’s what "The Ovary Wars" is about.  When one scientist's idea of stopping overpopulation is used by terrorists to stop American woman from being able to conceive the world as we know it is destroyed.

Women are unknowingly “inoculated” against pregnancy, shriveling their ovaries and making conception impossible.  Without children, mental issues arise, the economy is affected, and everything we take for granted changes.  How could this happen?  Or a better question, could this really happen?

Mike Hogan has an amazing story that is original and creative.  He gives his characters full names which is a bit much but that is the only critique I can find with the book.  The idea that this can very realistically happen is terrifying but yet in the back of my mind I can’t be shocked by it either.

There are characters in the book that make you despise humanity and others that renew your faith in it.  However, they all have their part and make the book worth the time to read.

"The Ovary Wars" would be great for a book club, debate club, or even a college course.
