A Bridge Back

Mount Kelven, as most towns, is home to its very own tragedy.  Eighteen years ago Nate Morrissey left town to escape the pain.  On a stormy night Nate’s parents and the father of his girlfriend are killed on a lift bridge while chasing after Nate and Laura who were on their way to a Justice of the Peace.  When tragedy struck it went to the core.  Nate and Laura had their lives ripped apart and continuation of the way things were was not possible.  Sometimes love is just not enough.  Nate did not escape the pain any more than Laura did but continued living with the unknown.

When Nate received an assignment from the firm he works for he must travel back to Mount Kelven and confront the past head on.  His project involves the accident that took the lives of those close to him.  He does not want to face the past but with this assignment he must.  The dread of facing Laura again after so many years is looming just ahead.  Some relationships have fallen back into place as they were when he left but seeing Laura again is something he doesn’t know if either can handle.

The emotion you feel while reading “A Bridge Back” by Patrick M. Garry will have you hooked.  Excellence from beginning to end you will not be able to put this one down.  I highly recommend grabbing a chair and heading to the beach and become engulfed in the lives of Nate and Laura.  You will soon realize that happy endings are not always necessary and be consumed with a peace in your heart.
