Manifestation: The Jewel in You

Christine Bryce
Trafford Publishing (2010)
ISBN 9781426926099
Reviewed by Melissa Koltes for RebeccasReads (10/10)

The author believes there is a “black jewel” in each of us.  This jewel holds every decision and event of each of our lives.  Not only our lives, but every ancestor we have.  While that is a fascinating belief it was long winded and drawn out to the point of boredom.

The repetitive use of the words “darkness” and “law” was ridiculous.  Without the repeated use of these words  "Manifestation" would have been half its length. Christine Bryce does talk about accepting who we are and believing in ourselves.  She speaks of not fearing the unknown but to embrace it, since that is where we have calm and peace.  But to say that our children inherit this jewel’s knowledge and they have an automatic knowledge of right and wrong is silly.

I had the expectation (based on the title) that the book would be about manifesting and perhaps better ways to do that.  That is not the case, this is strictly a book to get the reader to look deeper at themselves.
