I had no idea what to expect from a “metaphysical thriller”.  What exactly did that mean?  I had never heard the term but it is exactly what it says.  A team of scientists discovers the secret to taping into past lives but there is a problem with the technique.  The consequence of finding both the glitch and the technique could prove deadly.  Someone will stop at nothing to keep this a secret.

In order to save his life, Jason Graine must travel to Australia and ask for help from the one woman in the world that may be able to figure out the glitch.  But she is also the woman that he has no right to ask anything from, Kate Yves.  She is a noted speaker, who combines religion and spirituality.  She may hold the key. However, they must first figure out who is trying to kill them while keeping the CIA off their trail.

The story is quick, enthralling, and deeply interesting.  The concepts are universal and the quotes used throughout are exceedingly fitting and telling.  The reader is handed the Christos Technique, which is supposed to allow the user to see past lives.  I have not tried this but I find it fascinating.

Whether the reader believes in any of the concepts examined in the book is irrelevant as the story itself is fun and suspenseful.  If all you seek is a very well written suspense novel, this is it.
