Author Spotlight

Marian Thomasmarian l. thomas

Marian L. Thomas is a native of Chicago but currently resides in Atlanta. Her passion for writing first began to awaken during her second year in high school when she wrote a manuscript she called What Color Is Jazzmyne. However, it wasn't until 2009 that she finally debut Color Me Jazzmyne with much anticipation.

"Writing Color Me Jazzmyne was like looking at the reflection of the world around me and simply putting to pen what my eyes saw. I think the character Naya Mona has abit of my personality and even some of my struggles but overall she represents all women who must push past the pain of life and find the strength, voice and motivation to live."

Marian received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communication and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is also a wife, writer and supporter of victims of abuse. Recently featured in Skirt! Magazine as one of Atlanta's 9to5 Women in the Media Industry and CrossRoadsNews, a Metro Atlanta paper.

She hopes that "women who read Color Me Jazzmyne will see that our past is what makes us stronger for our future. Our challenges is what makes us meet the present and our dreams is what pushes us to become more than what others expected."
