Daryl Chestneydaryl chestney

Daryl spent his formative years in the Detroit metropolitan arena, and on graduating high school he raced off to charge the hamburger hill of a liberal arts education. After suffering through a four year stint, the shell-shocked youth emerged from the smoke with a B.A. in Chemistry. The degree was a source of pride to his parents and earned him the right to advance to graduate school training. He opted for Wayne State University in Detroit.

After a sputtering course, he was finally awarded a MS degree in Chemistry, but by that time he had already abandoned his chosen vocation. While his thirst for the marvels of science ran unchecked, the realities (or drudgery) of a corporate chemist’s’ life caused him to reconsider his career path. When the diploma arrived he was thousands of miles away, having left his native soil to seek high adventure overseas. When his pockets (and prospects) ran dry, he returned to attend medical school- a long time interest. He began his studies in Guadalajara Mexico, a course that would funnel him through the New York Medical College Fifth Pathway program and land him in residency program in southern California.

Currently, he is living in Los Angeles and divides his time between working as a physician and struggling as a writer. He is fascinated with religion and mythology (as a writer, not a doctor) and strives to incorporate this into his stories.
