Author Spotlight
I am married, for the third time. I have three children (all adults), and live in a small, picturesque, town in South Wales, United Kingdom. The majority of my career was spent working with Social Services. I started as a Sessional Worker, teaching Drama to mental health patients and, 10 years later, had climbed the ladder to a Senior Management Level within the organisation. My employment with Social Services ended in 1995. For the next 10 years I was employed in the Primary Healthcare Setting of the National Health Service, listening and talking with people who were experiencing life problems such as, anxiety, depression, loss of role, bereavement, relationship issues, divorce/separation, etc. I left this position in 2004. I am now employed by Aids Trust Cymru, as Manager. This organisation is a registered charity, which provides services to those people both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. I am also the Resident Relationship Counsellor on 'Swansea Sound Radio.' The show is called 'The Mid-morning Show,' it is presented by Leighton Jones, and starts at 10.15 am. to 2 pm. from Monday to Friday. My interview with Leighton is on Tuesdays, between 10.00 am and 11 am. Each week I introduce, and talk about, a different emotional issue, and answer letters that have been sent in to the Radio Station by Swansea Sound listeners. Listeners are also encouraged to 'phone in' to the Station, during the programme, so that they can talk with me and get an immediate response. They are also able to write to me at my web-site.
